National coverage with local presence in the South East

JD COOLING | General

The JD Cooling Group, the UK’s leading independent supplier of bespoke cooling systems for the fresh produce industry, is a forward-thinking and continuously developing company that has gone from strength-to-strength – most recently, with the opening of a new regional office in Sittingbourne, Kent.

Headed up by new regional manager Shaun Webb and specialist services manager James Tumber, the dedicated hub will provide customer lead focus to their existing and new client base throughout the South East.

Shaun has brought with him many years’ experience within the refrigeration industry along with a team of local directly-employed on-call service engineers that will be on-hand 24/7, 365 days.

James Tumber along with Tudor Pectu (formally Tudor Multi Services), joined the JD Cooling Group to strengthen the ripening room division. With a great deal of knowledge and expertise in fruit ripening room technologies and dynamic controlled atmosphere storage, James and Tudor will deliver a more comprehensive service package with the backup of a countrywide engineering network and vast technical resources.

Already working closely with some of the UK’s leading fruit producers, the JD Cooling Group has developed an innovative heat recovery system when applied to fruit ripening. This system has demonstrated potential cost savings for one particular customer (the largest avocado producer in the UK) of £1.50 per pallet/per cycle. It is believed that if applied across the UK’s largest producers, these savings could run into the hundreds and thousands per year.

With five regional offices throughout the UK, JD Cooling Group offer the complete cooling package including natural and industrial refrigeration, automation controls, power/electrical, heating, ventilation and air conditioning.
