Refrigeration & HVAC Technical Sales Engineer


The Role


The JD Cooling Group has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Sales Engineer to join the team in Scotland!


The successful candidate will combine their technical and sales knowledge in order to:

  • Develop current and prospective commercial & industrial sales opportunities
  • Build and maintain networks to improve the presence and reputation of the Company
  • Ensure profitability and achieve sales targets and outcomes
  • Establish, develop, and maintain successful business and customer relationships
  • Liaise with senior team personnel as required
  • Attend sales meetings
  • Liaise with technical, contracts, service and maintenance teams to support Group sales
  • Ensure sales opportunities are viable and in line with forecast margin


Who are we looking for?

We are looking to recruit a forward thinking and self-driven individual, with proven experience in sales and customer engagement. The successful candidate should be confident in working both independently, and as part of a team, and wider Group.


We are looking for a Technical Sales Engineer who has:


  • Experience with customer engagement
  • Successful track record in refrigeration sales, consistently meeting or exceeding targets
  • Experience/knowledge in commercial and industrial refrigeration sectors
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from opportunities to orders won
  • Previous experience with a CRM system (desirable)
  • Strong business sense and industry expertise
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A keen eye for detail
  • Drive to exceed within an existing role
