Refrigeration Engineer – Central belt, Scotland

The Role

JD Cooling Group are seeking an experienced, confident, Refrigeration Service Engineer to join our team in Scotland.

Main duties (not limited to) will include: Carrying out PPM and reactive work on various refrigeration systems and plant.

  • Servicing and fault findings of refrigeration (various types of systems).
  • Fault finding of bespoke control systems.
  • Servicing of refrigeration, including ammonia, CO2, hydrocarbons, and secondary systems (training for ammonia, CO2 and hydrocarbons will be given).

Who are we looking for?

Qualifications / experience of benefit (further training given where required):

  • At least 4 year’s experience (post apprenticeship) of refrigeration systems is essential.
  • NVQ Level 3 City & Guilds Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (preferred – not essential).
  • FGAS Refrigerant Handling (City & Guilds 2079).
  • Extensive field experience in the refrigeration sector.
  • Good communication skills (written and oral).
  • The successful candidate should be capable of having a flexible approach to the work being carried out and work well independently as well as part of a team.
  • A full UK driving licence
